November 15, 1958, page seven, carries an article
entitled, “Robeson No Exile His Wife Insists." This
article states in part that ROBESON's wife, ESLANDA,
stated that her husband had been deliberately misquoted
in news stories from London to the effect that he would
never return to the United States. Mra ROBESON
declared, "My husband considers that his home is in
the U. S.A." _ . _
B. Enpioyment
ROBESON has given concerts in Great Britain, ..
Ireland, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ;
€5SR)}, and plans a concert tour of East Germany. He
reportedly is planning to make films in the USSR and
is scheduled to appear at the Shakespeare Memorial
Theater in England during 1959. (See Section III below).
