The "Daily Worker" issue of April 29, 1957, page 1, column 1, announced that PAUL ROBESON would be a Speaker at the United Mutual Auditorium, 310 Lenox Avenue, New York City, on April 30, 1957. The article pointed out the meeting was to commemorate the Second Anniversary of the Bandung Conference, and would be held under the sponsorship of the National Committee to Defend Negro Leadership. on advised that on April 30, 1957, ! the National Committee to Defend Negro Leaderssip, neld a rally at 310 Lenox Avenue, New York City. -dvised tne subject was one of the main speakers and Commented on : the influence of music as a negro heritage. ROBESON stated “J 77 the conference at Bandung had served to influence the [ yp freedom struggles of the darker people and pointed out the Asian-African block is a powerful influence in the United Nations.
