There haa been no specific indication that ROBESON hes ceased association with «=r altered his sympathies © | J ¢- towards subvergive movements and/or individuals. In view of . ROBESON's seputation with these subveraive groups and individuals, under the current NAACP policy, ROBESON would not be permitted to become a member or a leader in the ROBESON 48 under active investigation in the NYO. If any information iz developed that ROBESON is active in or is developing a large following within the NAACP, this _ information will be expeditiously submitted: te the Bureau. In view of the sbove, the Bureau is requested to advise NY whether it would be necassary a & penorendum Letter to DIRECTOR, PB getting forth that information furnished by ogether with a documented summary of ROBESON's subversive bac ground.
