- included a tour of Negro taverns and night clubs in the
Newark area on Friday evening, 7/27/56; appesrance at a
, ok picnic of meat-packing plant workers sponsored by the

we! attendance at church services in a Negro church on Sunday
morning, 7/29/56; and appearance at a public barbecue that
sunday afternoon at ERNEST THOMPSON's home in Orange, N.J,

CANTOR stated that the purpose of ROBESON's visit was to raise
