and organizations have received ‘copies of the ‘Welt Jugend', a monthly maga-
zine of the Democratic World League in Budapest.” Subject 'p name and address
was included as receiving this publication.’ .
The 66th CIC Group, Stuttgart, Germany, have now stated that the
organization publishing “Welt Jugend" should have been correctly designated
as the "Weltbund der Demokratischen Jugend" » World Federation of Democratic
Youth (WFDY). No such.organigation as the Democratic World. League is known
to exist and its use was due to a faulty translation from the German.
. The WFDY has been cited by the Congressional Committee on Un-
American Activities as one of the "long established Soviet-controlied
international organizations" which "speak identical lines of propaganda
_ and stand together on all’ phases of Soviet foreign policy." (Report No.
