“As a special tribute to the fighting traditions

On August 1, 195), immediately after the Paul Robeson Concert
at Peace Arch Park, ROBESON, accompanied by TERRY PETTUS and JOSEPH
STAROBIN, went to the home of WILLIAM "REDAWALLACE at Bellingham, Wash,
where a “People's World" fund raising dinner\was held, Approximately
70 people attended this dinner and the main speech was given by JOSEPH

MISTAROBIN, According to the informant, ROBESON did not take part an the | —
roceedings, After the dinner the party returned to Seattle, Washington,

On August 6, 1954, PAUL ROBESON sang at a concert which was held
at the Senator Auditorium, 7th and Union, Seattle. A crowd of approxi- b/D
mately 200 to 300 people attended the concert. ROBESON made no political
speeches at this concert, however his program consisted of so-called
"progressive" songs a8 JOE HILL, JOHN HENRY, Etc.
