States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, ani Mr, Goldesberry ~
expressed to me that in his judgaent the defense would rely solely oa desi-
sion {a the Lewis case which is now before the Daited States Supreme Court,
to argue the motion for new trial in the ¥. K. Hale case, and ay services as
to further investigntion in the W. K, Hale case or motion for new trial
could be dispensed with at this time. However, Mr. Goldesberry requested
that I meet him at Pewhuska, Oklahoma, on the following Tuesday or Wednesday
for a conference with reference to irregular conduct of parties with reference
to some of the jurors and witnesses in the §. K. Bale easé at the trial at
Pawhuska, Oklahoma. = -
