SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The National States Rights Parfy {NSRP}, under the leadership of
) Edward Reed Fields, claims to be the third largest political party in the
United States bul. actually has 2 small membership estimated at less than 100.
I. is 4 viciously anti-Jewish, anti-Negro, white supremacy movement spawned
in 1958 by former members of Ku Klux Klan organizations and militant segrega-
tionists whose avowed purpose is the preservation of the “pure While Race" at
all costs.
Scaitered throughout the country, its chapters emphasize the need for
widening public contacts. Teo this end, the NSRP holds public rallies, conducts
political campaigns engages in demonsiralions and counterdemonstralions, and
sends its leaders op speaking tours. To supplement these activities, it publishes
a 12-page monthly tabloid enifled "The Thunderbolt" and produces flyers, hand-
bills, pamphlels. newslet'ers. postcards, and other types of printed propaganda.
Reverue lor the NSRP is derived from membership dues, individual
contributions and public collections, and the sale of literature and miscellaneous
items such as Confederate flags, lapel pins, ard arm bands.
Asa security measure, the NSRP has formed a "Security Division"
whose duties include observing coverage co! NSRP meetings by law enforcement
agencies, directing traific at open-air meelings, and screening visitors al meetings
to eject those considered undesirable.
