MISCELLANEOUS - INFORMATION CONCERNING.
Re WFO nitel to the Bureau dated 8/12/75.
Referenced WFO nitel advised that the National
Organization of Women (NOW) had made application with the
National Capital Parks to hold a rally at the Ellipse and
then conduct a candlelight march to the U.S. Department of
Justice, both on August 26, 1975 during the hours of 7230PM
until 10:00PM.
On August 27, 1975,.0fficer[S—=*«dz‘CSGSSV
Park Police, WDC advised that the group of abaut.50 members
of NOW gathered at the Ellipse at approximately 7:30PM

on 8/26/75. The group departed the Ellipse on their candlelight
march to the Department of Justice at approximately 8:00PM
arriving at the Justice Department at 8:30PM. The group
remained at Justice Department until 9:30PM at which time
they marched back to the Ellipse for dispersal. There were
no incidents or arrests,
U.S, Park Police, U.S. Secret Service, Metropolitan
Police Department and Federal Protective Service dognizant.
WFO advised the Bureau that no coverage was to be
provided.
