Charity and fasting are accepted by the Cult as being
embodied in their five principles of Islam. On certain occasions,
charity among themselves has been atroagly advocated and feebly
' attempted; however, charity as a means to spiritual perfection
ig virtually unknown in the teachings of the Cult.
All of the members are periodically reminded that fasting |
in the month of Ramadan is highly desired; however, it ig doubted 4
that many of the members of the Cult, including most of the |
leaders, have any clear perception of the significance of Ramadan,
much less the reason for the necessity of fasting. Their failure 7 \
to believe that Mohammed was the last of the prophets, which
ig one af the basic beliefs of Islam, {invalidates their adherence
we
to the regulation demanding fasting during Ramadan.
