AUTHERINE LUCI, accerding to the ‘Evening Star, issue ef
March 5, 1956, is a "Negre" coed whe was expelled frem the Univer—
sity of Alabama after court test and riets over her admission as
a student. According to this same issue ef the "Evening Star,"
ate CHESTER C. TRAVELSTEAD, one of the witnesses before the Beard
ef Inquiry, was a person whe stated that he was dismissed as the
Dean ef the School of Education at the University of Seuth Carolina
because he advocated cempliance with the South Carelina anti-segrega-
tien rulings.
