Temple #46 & s temple oca at 1700 North Third Street, Kansas City, Kanéas, BEY pointed out that she was formerly a member of the inde- pe nden anizeation founded by Father MOHAMMED BEY in Kansas City, Kansas; that he founded am organization of the same name in about 1935; that this organization, under the leadership of Father MOHAMMED HEY, became very active and very powerful and at one time possessed a membership estimated by her to be between four hundred and five hundred members, She pointed out that the peak of his manbership was in the year -1936 a 1937; that the member~ ship of his organization dwindled aftdr that time. She related that in the fal of 1939 she became awarc of the fact that there wes a national organization known by the”name of the Moorish Science Temple of America; that this organi- zation had a Temple at Atchison, Kansas, end, seccordingly, she personally z went to Atchison, Kansas, in an cffort to obtain additional informtion con- cerning the activities of this organization.
