"Upon arrivirg at Akin's Mcebile Homes, all
of the above-mentioned persons were still there,
Doyle Barnett, Travis Barrett, Jim Snowden, Jim
Aldridge and I gct into Deyle Barnett's automobile.
Prior to them getting into the car, 'Freacher' Killen
said that Wayne Roberts, Sharp, Tewnserd and himself
would go in Sharp's 1959 Chevrolet on to Philadelphia
to see if everything was okay. Killen stated that
Ceputy Sheriff Cecil Price, Neshoba Ccurty Sheriff's
Cffice, had arrested the three civil rights workers
on a traffic charge ard that they could net be held
tco long. Killen also stated that when the civil
rights workers were released, cfficers cf the
Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol would stop them
weer they left Fhiladelphia. After they were stopped
then the group merticrned above would tak: cver.
