Q: I went back to the road and I started dowa the road and it was extremely dark and I could make out no former shapes or fig- ures, and the only way that I could even see the path of the road was looking down the silhouettes of the trees onthe two sides, and I could watch the silhouette of the trees onthe two sides and I started going down that road, walking, trotting, jogging, stum- bling, aS fast as I possibly could. Q: Did you pass any houses with lights on? A: Not to my knowledge; never saw a cottage with a light on Q: And did you then return to the cottage where your friends had gathered? A: That is correct.
