The Suspension of Malcom" X—
Malcolm X, chief minister of vitriol to Black
Muslim leader Elijah Muhammad, has been sus-
pended for telling a laughing, applauding audi-
ence after the death of President Kennedy:

always made me glad.”
X now says he “never should have said wh —
Uf said.” He is critical of reports which, he saigq. :\
“took all the salt out of the bread and presenteji m~aty
only the salt. But the salt never should have od
been there... anything that Mr. Muhammad 4 i
— does is all right with me. I believe absolutely in Hi ‘
his wisdom and his authority.” | :
Contrition is of course something new for X. —- |

is one more philosophy that has been revealed
in al its’wrongness by the killiag of the Presi-

as a result. ———, —
