The rally is sponsored by Afro-Am, a black student organization at Ohio State University (OSU), Columbus, Ohio; Afro Set, a black extremist organization headquartered at Cleveland, Ohio, with a branch in Columbus, Ohio; Black Man's Development Center, a self-helped drug cure organization, Columbus, Ohio; and other interested blacks. at fo Ube nay ot: ot cette et Bt a, ea eds ” _ 2A ae AP NVeAD The Afro-Am was officially recognized ar an organization at Ohio State University (CSU) during March, 1970, after black students participated in a demonstration and presented demands to the Vice President of OSU, The organization's stated purpose is to covearn all hilack arcanigsatione on the Oct yw res aa oh te oe eo he a dhe Stated OG ee WD ws wh J wks campus, and to act as an information center for all black students. On March 13, 1970, OSU obtained a common pleas injunction prohibiting any further disruption by the students who engaged in campus disruptive tactics by that date.
