NY 105-39c9 "The 'so-cslled Nezro' here in North America accept themselves as such. ‘Negro’ means something no good and dead. Nowhere in the world other than here in North America is the dark man called Negro. In Cuba the dark man is called a Cuban; in India he is cailed an Indian; and so forth. "Some time ago the Minister of Finance from Africa came to the United States. Sisters and brothers, this is a big man with lots of money. He went into aresteurant, and because of his skin he was refused service. Why? Because they thought he was one of the 'so-called Negroets' that belong here in North America. As goon as they found out he was from another country where the cark man is not calied ‘Negro’ they welcomed him in, wholeheartedly, bor.d to him, We go around bragcing thas we have the richest country in the worid, Let's face it, sisters and brothers, it is the richest country and it should be, because they have worled our parents ('so-called Negroes!) for 300 or 400 years for nothing, and have ali the money piled up in Forts FMnox. We do:.& own a thing. They deprive us of our native tongue. We don't know our own name. We don't nave a language. We don't have a flag. This thing here (pointing to the United States flag on the wall) doesn't mean anything to us. It hasn't cone anything for us. Amy time you live under a flags that does not protect you, that 17%as isn't any more than an old dirty rag. Oh, yes, some of you people out there ere scared and saying I'm going to gall for talking like this. But the hell that the ‘so-called Negroes’ have gone through for these many years in North America wiil maxe the inside of the jail house lock like the best suite in tne Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. - 47 ~
