the testimony of witnesses before hearings held by a panel of . ~
educators, writers and lawyers at the National Theater, Washington, A
D. C., on 6/8/64 on the racial situation in Mississippi, was entered Ny
into the Congressional’ Record on 6/16/64. Several of these witnesses ;
made references to the manner in which the FBI and the Department A
handle police brutality matters. They indicate that when they A
inquired of Agents as to the disposition that will be made of af] Gx
particular case, they are advised that the information will be
