Ansuffieient funds check. _— oe \ + As a result, E.L, CASTON, who was at that time Sheriffiot Amite County, filed an affidavit upon the authority of the Amite County District Attorney and a ‘warrant was issued by the Justice of the Peace N.T. BELWE . Charging ALLEN with issuing & worthless check, Sheriff JONES said that on November 6, 1963, ALLEN was arrested by him and that at that time he was the Deputy Sheriff. At the time of the arrest in Liberty, § Kississippi, JONES found a loaded .22 caliber pistol in the glove compartment of ALLEN's truck. AS a result of finding this pistol, JONES subsequently signed an affidavit upon the authority of the Amite County District Attorney charging ALLEN with carrying a concealed weapon and a warrant was iesued. Sheriff JONES said that on November 7, 1963, a hearing was held before Justice ef the Peace BELWE, Liberty, Mississippi, at which time ALLEN entered a plea of guilty on the charge of carrying a concealed weapon and as a result had been sentenced to 30 days dn jail and received a $100 fine. oe .
