FLYING DISCS, MISCELLANEOUS On September 26, 1949, GLEN SPROUSE, 608 Montrose Drive, S, Charleston, West Virginia, appeared at the Charleston, West Virginia, resident agency and gave to Special Agent JOHN B, WOODRUFF the attached letter, Mr. SPROUSE stated that he had written the letter following a pleasure flight from Clark Field, St. Albans, West Virginia, to Parkersburg, West Virginie, on September 25, 1949. Mr. SPROUSE stated that after writing the letter, he did not know whether it would be of any interest to the FBI and decided that instead of mailing it directly to the Bureau at Washington, he would contact the local agent and turn it over to him if it were thought it would be of interest to the Bureau, Mr. SPROUSE stated that he has set out the complete details of this incident in his letter and that there is nothing further that he can edd, He further stated that he is certain this was not a mirage and that it actually occurred, No further action is being taken by this office unless specified to do so by the Bureau, ENCL JEW/ jw
