JOSNSON At apout 5:30 pom. on April 14, 1965, a group of students tried to stage 2 meeting in front of the Banjamin Franklin bibrary but were unsuccessful because of the great number ox police who were present. T-4, T~5, T-3, T~7, and T-3, who have furnished reliable information in the past, provided the following summary relative to the visit of President LYNDON B, JORNSON to Mexico; Students of UNAM and IPN, mentioned above, were identizied by these sources as students who were organized by the Juventud Comunista de Mexico (ICM - Communist Youth of Mexico) and the Student Committee Pro-Vietnam at UNAM. These sources provided substantially the same data as T~2 and T~3 concerning the incidents which occurred along the route traveled by President JOHNSON and his party. On April 15, 1965, a group of communist students attempted to approach the park wnere the statue of Lincoln was being unveiled but were intercepted and dispersed by police officials. & group of JCM members met at anout 5 p.eme on April 14, 1938, to form brigades of young women to distribute about 2,000 “flyers” prepared by the Federal District Com mittee of the Partido Comunista Mexicano (PCM ~ Communist Party of Mexico) and which contained pictures of "Lincoln" and "Juarez," They then joined other students of the pcudent Comittee Pro-Vietnam to shout insults at President above CO On the evening of April 14, 1866, a group of com- munist students from the School of Economics and the School of Folitical Science, UNAM, appeared at tie UNAM radio station, They requested time to announce the end of a student strike and the resumption of classes at UNAM. Instead of following their announced plan, however, they launched attacks against President LYNDON B. JOHNSON concerning the invasion of the Dominican Republic and Vietnam. The office of the rector of UNAM has ordered an investigation of this incident. c 0 F &L
