CV 98-2140, | \ KANE, who alleged he telephonically contacted FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C, recently attempting to secure copies of FBI reports, was questioned as to why he did not direct any questions or requests through the Cleveland Division of the FBI. He stated that he desired tod@al directly with FBI Headquarters. Prior to the termination of this Interview, KANE acknowledged that he now understands the confidential nature of FBI files and this interview was concluded on a friendly and cooperative basis. Cleveland will continue to keep the Bureau advised of plans for local prosecution in this matter.
