She stated that she told this man what had. | happened to her, and thet he consented to drive her back to Hot Springs, letting . her cut at the Lane Apartments where she resides. She edvised Graham'that she is certain that this man wes Galetes; thet she would endeavor to go fishing on. the Lake again and call at thie house to ascertain whether or not Galatas Wee ie still there. She told Grahem that she judged Galetas to be about forty-four yeere old, and thot he drove ber to tom ina black or dark blue Biiek Sedan, ~"~ wee According to crehen, (D> stated that the house where she stopped on Lake BPamilton had sither a green or red reof, four bunting doge and some ducks running loose around the plece; aleo, that a wire fence extended down into the water, the purpose being to keep the ducks on the estate. She stated that this house appeared to be a large hunt ing lodge having, ahe would judge, about etent | rooms but only one etory high. ~ ¥ Z ‘\ Tet a ar + £ Fy Grakas gise stated lhat he has deen ecquainted with’ ‘a lady for about ‘four years who resides at Little Rock, Arkansas; that her name is Marjorie Fields, and thet he met her while he wes a member of the Arkansas legisleture; that this wonean is associated with Dr. Leonard Ellis of Hot Springs, and that — Ellis is a very close friend of Galetas. According to Graham, about two months ' ago while he and Mies Fields were on a drinking party, she told him that Galatas wes being protected by the Mayor and other city officials et Hot Springs and would never be caught there because of this protection. He stated that thie party entered the Waukesha Hotel - and when the perty ceme out, this stool-pigeon nudged him end pointed out Galetae, LY According to Graham, the Police Depertment at Hot Springs isa under the @irect supervision of the Mayor end would do nothing to assist in locatirg und effecting the epprehersion of Galatas, although they know him to be a fugitive. Grabam steted that Galatas is very well liked in Rot Springs and thet tLe people of Hot Springs would not furnieb any informetion conceruing his THICTEAaLOUutSe
