beg oa vy MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR _s
On the evening of March 6, 1934, I talked with
Special Agent Rarold Andersen, who was then at the Detroit
Office of the Division, with reference to his interview with
Rathryn\Kelly, Andersen stated that Kathryn Kelly is agreeable |
to the proposed plan whereby Vivien’Miller will be transferred
te the Hilen City institution, where Kathryn is now serving her
sentence, and that she will endeavor to obtain information
conceruing the’ Kansas City massacre case from Vivien Miller in
the event she is permitted to associate with the latter.
Andersen further stated thet Kathryn Kelly does not desire that
BobbycMoore be transferred, and requested that, after the
transfer of Vivien Miller, no Agent of the Division attempt
to interview her until after several weeks. Agent Andersen
stated that he is explaining the proposed set-up to Special
Agent in Charge Larson.

Having noted in the Chicago Mivision Office letter ;
dated Werch 3, 1934, addressed to the Salt Lake City Office,
that a photograph of a woman known as lirs.fStone was being pv
transmitted to the Salt Leke City Office for the purpose of
exhibiting the photograph to one \Price, who is now serving ba
a life seniuuce in the Colorado State Penitentiary for the &
purpose of establishing whether tiis Mre. Stone is identical w
with the wife of one Gus{Stone, who is seid to be one of the 4
mechine gunners in the Kansas City massacre case, and further
knowing of Special Agent Andersen's intention to proceed to _
Canon City, Colorado for the purpose of interviewing "Red" Price, o
I suggested to him that he proceed to Chicago and there await \
the resultsof the investigation requested of the Salt Lake City ;
Office in the Caicago Office letter dated March 3, 1934. In
the event the photograph is-identified by Price as being the
wife of Gus Stone, Agent Andersen can then make srrangements,
through the Chicago Office to locate Gus Stone, through his
wife, who has apparently been located ky Special Agent J. J.
etcalfe. Andersen stated that he would proceed to Chicago
immedictely and there avait the developments at Salt Lake City,
end in the meantime reinterview the confidential informant of
the Chicago Office with reference to the “Curly” angle.
