Goodlow was positive that ~_ there hed been no telephone at this eddress, and he could eupply no information other than thet reported in letters and reports in the file entitled "Vernon | C. Miller with sliases (Deceased), et al. - Conspiracy to Deliver Federal” Prisoner". Lieutenant Filson informed agent that at one time Rocco DeGrazia, koown as tre xing of the est Side bookmakers, ea former Capone lieutenant in that territory, and a Greek friend of Doc Stacey, had lived at 1115 Kashington Boulevard, Oek Park, about two or three years ago. Consequently, a cereful check was meade at that address, and pr. and urs. y. E. Cherleson, the manager end his wife, were carefully shown all the pictures in agent's possession, - which included pictures of Vernon viller end his wife, Vi. These persons were atruck by the picture of Tony"becraezia but could not recognize it, end said - there wag some family resenblance when told this picture was that of a brother of RoccolpeGrezia. poth um. and wrs. Charleson, however, quickly identified the picture of ives. Vernon ¢. Miller with aliases as a tenant who hed occupied an apartment at thet address from June 15 to July 15, 1933. These persons could not readily identify a picture of vernon Miller as the man who accompaniad her, but deseribed Biller accurately. Mr. Charleson said either urs. willer or the two came to that apartment building on June 14, 1933, and stated they were fron California end were to attend the Fair. No registration cards are filled out at the Teashington Court apartment, the names merely being taken down by Wr. or irs. Charleson, and they took down the name as Vern EPmullen. ‘these parties were assigned to apartment 102 but later were moved to apartment 417. Wr. Charleson was not sure of the type of car these persons were driving but believed that it was a new Ford, four-door, ¥-8 with California license plates. T.ese persons paid $75.00 rent for the one month. This apartment, while viewed on June 14, 1933, was not occupied until the next day, June 15, 1955. on one occasion during the stey of these people kr. Charleson remembers that they were absent from the apartment for a perioc of four or five deys but he could not renanber the exact detes when they were absent. He did not knor whether ‘both
