Club Headquarters when a fight took place between two young?) 5° +talians and it was explained to him by his Italian coupentony of a remark mace by one Itelian concerning the participation .. of the other in the Kansas city MASSACTC. f indicated in a " penerel way “that he* oo! is ecquainted 1 with the se ctivities of the gangsters under Lazia, ~ taat he has been furnished with funds by this group and that he is acquainted with the arsenal where their machine guns and other - fire arms are kept. — In the first intervien had with cial he also indicated that he could furnish general Setatis- ot concerning Charles "Prettyboy® Floyd, especialy information ae concerning local Kansas City contacts. , oo Under date of February 25 1924, the Kansas city office furtaer reported had subsequently talked with one of the participents in tne fight referred to above and that this participant stated that the fight was the result of a - remerk mace by the other participant concerning "the greatest shooting that Kensas City has ever known", This same participant — in the fight also stated ‘that his own hands were bloody from the - | effair and on @ number of other occasions remarks were made by - the same indivicual to the informent, which indicated thet v reference was being made to the Kansas city massacre. Pursuant to arrangements nade he furnished - the neme of en Italian first interpreted as Joe Colose but later — said to be Joe Polocie, 2100 East 18th Street, Kansas City, as the suspect in this case. Arrangements were then made whereby Special Agents Anderson and Trainor were deputized on February 2, “Oo 1934 es Deputy United States Marshals in order to effect the arrest — -of this individual for questioning in connection with Anstant case. Under date of February 3, 1934, the Kanses City office: further reported that efforts were being made to obtain Qagziea cms additional information relative to the identity of Joe Polocie — (phonetic spelling).
