The informant was taken to Harrisonville, Miesourt, chortly after :
January 12th to be used as a witness, if necessary, in the case involving -
Earl RitjBrashear and others, who were charged in the State Court at - =”
Harrison¥iile with abduction and asssult with a deadly weapone The eubjects :
in that case are mentioned in Kansas City file entitled Earl Rit Brashear,
et al, Theft from Interstate Commerce, White Slave Traffic Acte as the ~~
Division was notified on January 29th, Brashear and two confederates...
pleaded guilty in the State Court and received life sentencese It was not
necessary for informant F to testify. That informant, as outiined in ny.
letter of January 12th, was instrumental in clearing up the state case a ;
which resulted so successfully in prosecutions. He hed also furnished ..~
numerous other points of information to the local officers whieh they -.*-”
found to be of value in clearing up State cases, For that reason the — --
Sheriff at Harrisonville was desirous of holding informant fF fora day.

at the County Jail at Kansas City, in company with Sheriff Thomas Bash and
Assistent Sheriff John Kelley, It was not delieved advisable to talk with -
the informant in regard to the instent esse while he was at Harrisonville, .
For that reason further activity was held in abeyance until he would agein
be removed from Harrisonville to Kanses City which was understood by
Sheriff Bash before the informant was turned over to the Sheriff at -
Harrisonvi lle. |
