1a readiness awaiting further information, which wae expected to be ob- tained from George Nesh, os to the lecation of Underhill near Oklahoma When Sima and the Sheriff informed Birch upon hia arrival at Seminole of the eacape of Underhill, George Nash was taken into custody and thoroughly: questioned and at first told the officers that he knew where Underhill would go after leaving his place, but it later developed, end he admitted, that he did not have any information as to the present location of Underhill. Later that night Bruce Brady was arrested at his home near Ada, Oklahoma and taken into custody. Houston Nash surrendered to the Sheriff's office at Ada end both George Nash and Houston Nash ad-= mitted knowing Underhill end George Nash admitted harboring Underhill in his house on several occasions, stating that the reason for so doing was thet be was getting material from Underhill for another party who was going to write the history of Underhill’s life. On December 15th Agent Frank Snith and other agente and officere Hurt and Ryan of the Oklehoma City Police procesded to Afle, Oklahoma, as information had been obtained that Underhill would return to the home of Houston Nash and probably to the home of George Nash to cbtain approximately $225.00 which Underhill had left behind him when he made his escape,and also that he might appear at a junk yard in Konawa, Oklahame in order to contact Houston Nash with the money. The agents and local officers of Ada covered all these places, as well as other places which were thought to be possible hideouts for Underhill, but Underhil] did not return to that vicinity. Aithority wes obtained from Assistant United States Attorney Miller of Muskogee, Oklahoma to file complaints against George Nash andi Bruce Brady, charging them with herboring and concealing Underhill end with conspiracy to harbor and conceal, an’ complaints were filed by Agent Birch before the United States Commissioner at dda, Oklahoma on December 14th end complaint will be filed against Houston Nash today. Previous information had been received thet Wilbur Underhill was supposed to have been married at Conigate;—Oklahome on-November 18, 1933 to one Hazei}tudson, elias \Connor, but investigation there and interview with the license clerk and thb minister failed to indicate that Underhill was the party who wae married, as ali the people interviewed stated that the photo- graph of Underhill was not the person who had been married. Bruce Brady hes now edmitted that he was with Underhill end acted as best man at the wedding at Coalgate and that it was in fact Underhill whe was married. This office hae information concerning several places which Underhill hae visited in the past and which he mey now yieit and also the
