got in the Auburn, before be had an opportunity to warn then.
I asked Agent Rice if Snith had advised him to be on the lookout
and he said that he had not deen advised. Rice informed me that he had recog-
nized the Auburn Coupe and also had recognized Bobbie Moore pull up to the Galt
Avemie entrance to the Sherone Apartments a short time previous to the escape,
and had aleo heard Bobbie honk the horn three times, and thet at this time he
and Lockerman knew that it wae Bobbie Moore and also knew that it was her car;
' that shortly after ehe had honked the horn, a man come out of the Galt Aveme
entrance to the Sherone and got in the car, and that immediately thereafter they
sew Nichola and the officers run out and begin shooting, but he, Rice, etates
that neither he nor Lockerman knew for sure whether this person wes Miller and
were, therefors, afraid to use the machine gun in their possession.
Agents Rice end Lockerman were in a Ford Seden parked on the same
side of the street as the Auburn car containing Bobbie, and were approximately
twelve or fifteen feet from the Auburn tar, the Ford car and the Auburn car
facing each other; that is, the Ford car, containing Rice and Lockerman, was
facing west and the Aubum car, containing Bobbie and into which Miller jumped,
was facing east, the two being about fifteen feet apart.
