Miami, ‘advised the writer that be @uployed R. 4. Barlow as manager
ef the Kilgore Seed Company at Pempano, Florida; that he eame well
recommended and appeared to be thoroughly honest in every my. He
steted that about June 1, 1935, an aulit was made of the books of
the Kilgore Seed Company, Pompano, which disclosed that Barlow was
short in his accounts between Ten and Eleven Thousand Dollars; that
Barlow was bonded and the bonding company would no doubt make the
lose good, and would institute prosecutive action against Barlow. ”

stated that he was formerly employed as manager of the Kilgore Seed
Company, Pompano, Florida; that the telephone number of this econpany
at Pompano waa 235]. He stated that he has played the reces and on
several occasions parties have called him by long distances telephone
for the purpose of placing beta on a horae that they would name which
would be scheduled to win a certain rece on a designated date. He
stated that on June 6, 1933, he left the employ of the Kilgore Seed
Company and on the eighth of June left Pompano for Miamt, where he has
resided ever since; that be does not know anyone by the name of E. i.

Investigation at Kelsey City disclosed that V. R. Rousseau,
not ¥. 0. Rasseu, was formerly Superintendent of the Seminole Golf Club,
Kelsey City, but had recently severed his connection with the elub and
had moved to 830 Twenty-Seventh Street, Vest Palm Beach, Florida. .

etated that he was formerly Superintendent of the Seninole Golf Club,
Kelsey City, Florida. He stated that he has frequently pleced bets on
race horses, especially during the racing season of 1933 at Miami, Flor-
ida. He etated that on several occasions parties, giving different names,
bave called him by long distance telephone for the purpose of having him
place a bet on e certain borse thet was supposed to win a certain race and
tt the horse won, one-half of the bet would be forwarded to the party that
