Goucy, who hed Been conducting inquiries in thie matter at Atlantic
City, N.J., communicated with the New York office telephonicelly enf
edvised thet Mrs. Vivien alien, Mrs. Betty Buchelter end son, Louie —
Buchalter and ea perty named Weiser hed checked into the Ritz Carlton
Hotel that efternoon. This informetion had been received from Assistant
Mansger Peterson of the hotel, who elao advise! that he thought it quite
posesidle thet Welser might be subject Vernon Miller. In connection
with the above informetion, Agents dndersen, Arms, Sinse) and McKee
proceeded to atlentic City, B.J. on the night of August 4th onl {

The records of the Hitz Carlton Eotel indicated thet
Mrs. B. Buchalter end her husband, Louls Buchalter, registered inte
the hotel eat 5:42 P.M. august 4, 1988, together with Mre. Vivien Allen
end Master H. Buchalter. Immediete esontact was made with David B.
Peterson, Assistant Manager of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, for a complete
cover on all telephone calle emanating from rooms 1519 and 1520, eccupie®
by the aforementioned individuale. In connection with the above telephone
cover, the arrangements were such that agents were able to listen to «11 |
celle. In view of other information obtained from Mtr. Peterson with i
respect to known essociates of Mra, Buchalter, it was thought edvisetle
to place additional telephone covers on the rooma hereinafter set forth
oocupied by the individuals whose names appear opposite the room pumbers: —

Cerlton. An edditionel telephone cover was hed on rooms 927 and 926,
occupied by one Sam Freeman of Boston, Mass., who ie eleo mown to be
en associate of the Buchalters. The telephone covers will be treated
ieter in this report.
