Further necessary investigation concerning the information received from the Sheriff at Findlay, Ohio, is now being conducted, and a report concerning sane will be submitted at an early date. fhe Sheriff at Monroe has rendered excellent cooper- ation in this matter, and advises that he will see to it that Shelton ie held in Jail beyond a period of thirty days if same is necessary. It may here be stated that Shelton denied ever having resided in Kansae City; also when asked concerning conversations hed with hie two companions, he claimed that only casually hed they spoken of the Kansas City massacre; that at no time had they ever made any mention that they hati participated in the crime. & copy of Shelton’s photograph is being forwarted with copies of this communication to the Bureau, Kansas City and Very truly yours, i.
