MEMORANDUM FOR: THE DIRECTOR
With reference to the attached informal memorandum
from the Assistant to the Attorney General inquiring if it would
be advisable to get a more complete report on thetdudge in
connection with the Bureau's memorandum to Mr. Stanley, also
ettached, it occurs to me that it would probably be inadvisable
ut this time to meke any inquiries concerning the Judge.
Of course, I think the agents ehould be instructed to
report any such information that may come to them. I think,
hovever, that it would be dangerous to make any inquiries until
we have aepsrehended the persons responsible for the Kansas City
murders. Then, too, there is the possibility of exposing our
informant if we proceed with any investigation at thia time.
