It is clearly evident, however, from his conduct that he | ia deathly afraid of the results of exposure. He stated to the writer thet he ia afreid that either S40 Colvin or the writer will be kidnaped by the gang and tortured until they divulge the information as to who put the "apot”® on Nash, and cautioned the writer in thet respect. The informant stated that if the Oklahoma City Bureau office Gesired to confer with him, to communicate with him by telephone, mentian @ car case, giving motor numbers, and then say enough to indicate what they wanted and he would immdiately reapond. Informant further etated to the writer that the eang organi- zation has a “setin" in New York City through which they get any informa- tion desired from the Bureau and expressed the belief that the sam con- dition existed in other spots and warned the writer that the Bureau should be careful and cautious in setting up reports containing information of interest if they ever expected to get results; that unquestionably such information would leak out and get into the hands of this gang organi- zation. He stressed on the magnitude of this gang organization involved in this particuler case and laughed et the comparison with that of Al wer. Capone. He atated that Frank Nash was traded into thia organization through a deal mde at Detroit, based on his general ebilities and espec~ fally on account of his being a nitro expert, Informint warned the writer acainst Agents carrying in their baggage or brief bage information of interest to gangdom due to danger of pilferage in hotele or theft of baggage. It will be noted that information herein involves men of high atending in the Government service and the writer feels that every pre- caution should be taken to eafeguard the information herein from the possibility of a leak, ; “~ ‘Special Agent.
