I called Agent in Charge Colvin on the 'phone and’ endeavored to explain to him that the Federal Government has issued no . rewerd for the apprehension of Pretty BoyEloyd; that,. however, as he might understand, an Identification Yrder is out and is in his hands; that if any person inquires they can be told there is no Federal reward; that it can be indicated to the inquirer, however, that if information is received leading to the arrest and conviction of Floyd for the Kansas City mrders this Bureau would feel very liberally inclined. With regerd to Mr. Colvin's. advice that there was no Federal process outstanding for Floyd, I indicated that 1 knew a1) about that, strange as it may seem, and thet all he had to do was to pick up Pretty Boy Floyd and advise Kansas City, and everything would be all right.
