With reference to the attached report of Agent Rauber, =~ m dated June 27, 1933, concerning errill, alleged to be ~~ , one of the group who killed Agent"Caffrey and police officers J at Kansas City, inquiry of Division Six developed that their re- cords on Roy 2. Sherrill failed to show that he had been released = = from the Penitentiary at Leavenvorth but that apparently his sentence wes reduced from 25 to 10 years and that his time would be near expiration. ot pee Inquiry of the Prison Bureau elicited the information .-' that after Roy D. Sherrill had been returned to the penitentiary <° subsequent to his escape his sentence was reduced from 25 to 10 . years; that he was released on conditional pardon on February 7, 1930 and all conditions were discharged January 1, 1931; that, therefore, he has been out of the Penitentiary eince 1930. | Respectfully,. - | V.
