GARCFALO is Secretary and Treasurer of the Garofalo Company, a produce concern’. at, ws
located at 103 and 105 South Water Market, Chicago, Illinois. He is also one
of the owners of the Milwaukee Macaroni Company located at 3210 North Pierce .
Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Included in these two businesses with him are Ae

SANTO GAROFALO resides at 2200 North 53rd Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, telephone -
Hopkins 5052. He was born February 23, 1993 in Palernor, Sicily. He came to- ee
the United States in May of 1907, and was naturalized in the Circmit Court at. 7
Chicago, Illinois, in 1915. He has returned to Italy for a visit on one" ee
occasion, that being in the year 1931. ;
GAROFALO became acquainted with PHILIP D'ANDREA in about the year 1930. At ©“. }
that time, GAROFALO was Vice-President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, a -
group of [Italian business men. D'ANDHEA in about 1930 or 1931 joined the ,
Italian Chamber of Commerce as a regular member, and it was through this joint ; .
membership in this organization that GAROFALO first struck up a friendship with: oad

Also during the early 1930s, D'ANDREA became President of the Italo~American “ne
Unione This union was a fraternal and insurance organization, and was the .<,°*
successor to the Union Siciliano. GAROFALO was a member of this union and “ y |
attended its semiannual functions such as picnics and entertainments. In this.
manner, he became acquainted with D'ANDREA and came to feel that he mew hime “*'*
