Some question was present as to whether or not ire Harry A. Ash could, ,
be accepted as a parole advisor for subject because of the fact that he is dn:
attorney. The Parole Board file contains a letter from “Yr. 0. L, Yeagley,
Supervisor of Classification and Parole, directed to Kr, Walter KX. Urich,
Parole Executive, dated June 2, 1947, in which advice is requested as to |
whether the Parole Board would be willing to make an exception and to Allow,
Ash to be a parole advisor, This letter contains a handvritten notation gated
June 9, 1947, which reads as follows: ‘lr. Urich - case is bad one - _.. _-
racketeering - personally I would prefer some one other than an attorney whose
father-in-law was mixed up in politics in Chicago and this attorney was hig (+4,
secretary. I think we might get another P.A. - what do you thinks" The sigigture |
after this notation is illegible. The letter further contains a penciled ¥:
