Murtha had not contacted that bank since January 1, 1980, concerning his placing of large deposits, certificates of deposit, or other significant capital investments there. He further advised that to the best of his knowledge Congressman Murtha and his family did all of their banking with The Dale National Bank and he knew for a fact that they had two loans with that bank, certificates of deposit there and both checking and savings accounts.
