At that tine 1t developed that ELSHOFF hed in his possession facts and figures which analysed the financial setap ef the Panther Creek Mines at that time. ELSHOFF had actuzi figurea on the estimated value of the Panther Creek properties and ita indebtedness for the years of 19% and 1937. ELSHOFF at that time stated that he obtained this data in Washington, D.C. In the same conversation ELSHOFF commented that before he could accept any proposition relative to the purchase of the nines be would have to see “his parties in Washington, D.C.* It is knom that shortly after this EISHOFF did go f enintted ig D.C. and was apparently in contact with the office of ited Mine orkere of America daily.
