"I went to Mine B 3 or 4 days after an attempt
was made to reopen it in September 1937 and all
the P.li.A. mem were on a sit-down strike or picket-
ing. JI stayed ere then as a picket wntil an injunction was served on us.
All the men wh picketed were from Mine B and I did not See any fights
or violence of -ny kind while the mine was picketed,
"I voted in the N.L.R.B. election in Dec. 1937, and as far as

"I went to work in November 1939 at Itine 3 as a member of P.MLA.
but I knew the mine was operating under an open shop agreement. I paid
-ues to PHA for 2 or 3 months after I went back to work, FJULA. dues
at that time were $3 a month and U.M.W. was 32 a month About a month
later I joined U.M.. because I wanted to belong to a union and I thought
most of the men were U.iiu/, members at ifine B because a lot of the old
employees had quit and didn't come back.
"T voted in the N.L.R.B. election in Feb. 1941 and I think it
was a fair election, I am now working at ifine B as a trapper and I
have no fault to find with either wion and I like whichever one I may
be working under,
