"T never saw a ULfi official with the management of Mine '3' between

"In the sprirg of 1937 I widerstood that Pl was attempting to get
a contract with clshoff to increase the wage scale ten cent_ per ton.
Neither the officials or the management of Mine ‘Bt made any statenent to

"In Sept. 1937 I was informed by sone miners who formerly worked
at Mire 'B' thrt the mine was to open. JI went to work on the morning the
mine was to have opened, but only some UKs members were present to work,
so J did not go into the MONE » To oue told me IJ could not work. That
day I started to picket at Hine 'B' and acted as a picket for two weeks.
Only miners at Ifine '3' acted as pickets and no one threatened me if J
cid not picket, I was not present at iline '3!' when an injunction was
