Mine 52, I was not working from 1932 to 1535. In April, 1982 this Poabody
mine clogseé due to lack of a contract. Altiough I was not employed in
Septembcr, 1932, I joined the Progrossive Miners of imerica, which will be
refcrrcd to hereinafter as the MA, ay Illinois, and I joined this
union voluntarily as the locol I had b g under all joined the PMA.
"From April, 1932 wntil 1935, month not recniled, I was not employed
in coal mines, About August 1935 I went to work in Mine B as a menber of
FiA. I never hele any office in either PMA or UMT, 7 took no active part
in the formition of the PMA. I went to very few PMA union meetings as they
were hold in Sprinzfielé and it was not conveniont for me to do so. I just
went to work and minded my business, and IJ know nothing about the relations
between Elshoff and Local 64 of FUA from August 1935 until May 12, 1937,
when the mine closed. I never went back to Mine 8 after that date.

miners to join the M7, but I do not know who they were and they nover
