I did not come up until about quitting tine, and then learned that a strike

exactly what they told mc. I went home that night, and ceme back to the mine
for a couple cf days aftcr that but cid not work. I do not remember whether
J signed any papcrs for cither union at that time or not,
"I could not sct any other job, and stayed at home, I remember

exactly what hacpened sr vhat it was supposed to be about, but I know I
vent out to the minc. I did not expect to work that day, and there was
semethinz saic about gsing dom if those 12 men who hac been wanting the Uniteé
Mince workers went to work. These men hac never talked to me. I do not know
what they said. Someone else told me that they wanted the United Mine Workers.
I did not want to, and wantec to stay in the Progressive i’ine Vorkers,.
"After that day we had a picket line and stayed out there by the
