Room Reference is made to the attached memorandua to you Mr. Nease dated August 23, 1943, advising that SAC Haliford of Springfield “'** Beahm telephoned and requested that certain additional material be ob- Miss Gendy_____ tained from the Department in order that it might be utilized 4n the investigation of the captioned matter. It is noted that SAC Hallford requested four things: . i. List of the miners who voted in the first election held by ths National Labor Relations Board for designation of a Union representative af{itine B on December 15, 1937, and an itemized list of how each voter cast his ballot. op 2. Itemized list of the name of each voter and how he cast his ballot in the second election held February 21, 1941, by the NIRB at Mine B, Springfield, Illinois, to designate a Union bargaining agent. 3. The originals or photostatic copies of the original signatures of the lication for membership cards ch were submitted by th ted Mine Workers Union and the}frogressive Mine Workers Union prior to tbe second election which was held February 21, 1941, at Mine B. It ie noted that both Unions submitted membership signatures requesting that an election be held to designate a bargaining agent at that time. ALL INFORHATION CONTAINED /£1_BX TAR RW is an a.
