The records of Municipal Court, Chicago, Illinois,
indicate that Mr. Chancellor was arrested on March 27, 1949,
and charged with violation of
Municipal Code 193-1-1, “disorderly
conduct ~ did make or aid in making an improper noise, riot,
disturbance, breach of peace or diversion tending to a breach
of the peace within the limits of the city." It was indicated
that Mr. Chancellor was found
lying intoxicated in a vacant lot
at the intersection of Ohio and Dearborn Streets. It-is indi-+«:
cated:he waived a jury trial and was found not guilty and was.
discharged on March 28, 1949,
The records of the Chicago Police Department also
indicate that on August 13, 1949, Mr. Chancellor was arrested
on a charge of "speeding, being under influence of liquor and
no driver's license," the disposition of which was “bond
forfeiture and capias issued September, 1949." The records do
not indicate whether the capias was served. or dismissed and
there is presently no warrant
outstanding for Mr. Chancellor.
The records contain no additional information concerning that
arrest and it has been determined that the arresting officer
is deceased. -

1951, Mr. Chancellor was arrested on a charge of "disorderly
conduct - found on roof of Ambassador East Hotel," the disposi-
tion of which was “discharged" on February 13, 1951. Those
records contain no additional
information concerning that arrest.
