H-_PEIMONT a wee letter 3/10/52; re telephone call of SA FARR, Baltimore, 3/10/52. CLAUDE HEACCCK, brother-in-law of LOUIS LEISMAN, was interviewed at his trailer at the Woodsdale Trailer Camp, R.D. 1, State College, Pae, on the evening of 3/4/52, by SAs ALFRED F. HELLEBERG and ROBERT L. ZIMMERMAN. At the inception of the interview, HEACOCK was told by Agent HELLEBERG that the FBI was interested in the activities of his brother-in-law, LOUIS LEISMAN, in view of statements made by LEISMAN which may have pertinence in an investigation being con- ducted by the FBI. Im response to HEACOCK's inquiry as to whether his brother-in-law was in any type of trouble, the agent replied, tiot to my knowledge.tt HEACOCK made no further inquiry concerning the purpose of the interview, and no additional explanation was yolunteered by either agent. At no time during the interview was the subject of Communism mentioned either directly or by inference. It is noted that HEACOCK appeared friendly toward the interviewing agents throughout the interview, and indicated his willingness to cooperate in any way possible. He said specifically that he had had no direct contact with either his sister GERTRUDE or his brother~ in-law since about 1941.
