-fThe December 10, 1937 issue of the "San Francisco Chronicle" carried an article announcing that Ivan Cox, devosed Secretary-Treasurer of the I.L.A., filed a $5,100,000 damage suit in local superior court on December 9, 1937, ageinst a long list of defendants, charging conspiracy. With regard to the movie industry, Cox charged that defendant ‘arch had used his film salary "by guile and perversion of friendshin" to interest his friends in Communistic principals.
