Stated ALICE WAs not regularly employed during his association

Re ALFRED STERN, SOBLE admitted that in 1946,
ALFRED and MARTHA STERN made SOBLE a gift of $4,000 in
cash. Cash was paid to him by ALFRED STERN in STERN 's
office, NYC, where STERN kept money in a safe. SOFLE
claimed that this gift had nothing to do with Soviets, but
was merely a personal gift.

Re MARK ZBOROWSKI, SOBLE recalled that in
1949, in Moscow, KOROTKOV told SOBLE that he, SOBIE was
not to meet ZBOROWSKI as ZBOROWSKI was "being taken care
of" or “is being taken care of", SOBLE claimed he could
not be more definite on this point, but stated that this
indicated to him that ZBOROWSKI had a new Soviet contact or
