EDGAR(UGOVER Enclosed herewith are the original and four copies of a memorandum setting forth infarmation concerning property which had been removed from the office of Mr. J. Edgar Hoover following his death, May 2, 1972. A specific inventory of awards and plaques and a general inventory of the editorials and articles, congratulatory messages, photographs, caricatures, editorial cartoons, certificates, honorary degrees and other miscellaneous items have been compiled. The FBI will retain custody of the property mentioned pending a deter mination regarding lawful ownership, and disposition thereafter will be made in accordance with any decision in this 1 regard. .
